How does it work?

SpotLight is based on an analysis of the transactional data and customer research in the Ticketek customer base.

Entertainment preferences

The basic SpotLight service groups customers into 12 segments based on specific genres of entertainment and interests.

This segmentation is based on Ticketek customers':

  • Actual purchases to entertainment events
  • Responses to questions during registration about their current and future interests.

Customers can be allocated to more than one segment.

Entertainment expenditure

This service assesses the total spend per household within a street segment. Households are assigned to one of the following groups:

  • High - Top 25% of Tickets per Household
  • Medium - 26% to 74% of Tickets per Household
  • Low - Bottom 25% of Tickets per Household

You can buy SpotLight as an annual license for profiling and segmenting your customer and prospect data. Or, (subject to appropriate legal requirements) you can add it to your customer and prospect data via our online service, Data Express.

How to use the service

You will require a valid residential address, postcode and State, with DPID if available. If your database doesn't include DPIDs for residential addresses, we can supply software to remedy this before you use the service.

You will receive information added to each matching customer record to show the relevant entertainment information.

Cost

The price of appending SpotLight to your database will depend on the volume of records you would like updated or whether you would like to license the variable for internal use and analysis.  SpotLight can also be purchased as a filter when selecting a target market for specific marketing campaigns.

Like all data products, particularly those that may involve use or disclosure of personal information, you must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and other applicable data protection and privacy legislation. You should also take steps to ensure that your systems and processes when using a product of this kind addresses you obligations under discrimination and related legislation.
